Jargon


Eliminate all use of JARGON

noun
US  /ˈdʒɑɡən/
words and phrases used by particular groups of peopleesp. in their work, that are not generally understood [by others/outsiders].
Examples:
technical jargon
legal/computer jargon


Difference Between Jargon and Slang
: The main difference between Jargon and Slang is Jargon can be used in both written and spoken context [within a specified sub-group and be understood] but Slang is informal and is used in spoken language [changing with the popular terminology of the time].

Slang is informal, non-standard speech that changes over time.
Jargon is technical, non-standard speech that is only understood within a sub-group.

Both are not commonly used, formal words by the average English-speaking American, and therefore, these word choices exclude those who are not within a specific sub-group.
